9 Indians missing after New Zealand shootings that killed 49

On Friday Sanjiv Kohli , Indian envoy to New Zealand tweeted about the missing report of nine Indian’s  in the Christchurch  shooting at two New Zealand mosques. The attack was emancipated  at lunchtime on  Friday, when mosques were full of worshipers.

The AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi said that among the missing nine Indian people  one person  is Ahmed Jahangir, who hails from Hyderabad.

Owaisi further tweeted and tagged Ministry of External Affairs “Sushma Swaraj” saying that on the video of Christ church, shows Ahmed Jehangir has been shot.


The Bangladesh cricket team was narrowly escaped being caught up in shooting as their bus was approaching in Christchurch mosque.

What Happened?

During Friday prayers in New Zealand  a gunman squalled in two mosques and started firing killing 49 people and making 20 people injured. The person is identified as an Australian Extremist, on his late 20’s. The gunman went live and streamed the footage of going in every rooms and killing people and shooting victims from close range.

The extremist also published a “manifesto”, in which he referred to immigrants as intruders.


The Prime Minister  of New Zealand Jacinda Ardern has hexed this shooting by the gunman, and described as the country’s black day and  worst ever mass shooting,and considered it as a terrorist attack.

Immediately after the attack New Zealand was placed on high security alert and four suspected people were taken to custody and one of them(The extremist) is being charged with murder.

The spokesperson of Ministry of External Affairs Raveesh Kumar said  that India  is in touch with New Zealand  local authorities to find out more specifics.

Without disclosing much, he told  it is a “sensitive matter” and details cannot be shared.

US President Donald Trump tweeted  the “horrible massacre” in what the White House called a “vicious act of hate”.

And also said that “The US stands by New Zealand for anything we can do,” Trump wrote on his Twitter  post . The gunman’s manifesto praised Trump as “a symbol of renewed white identity and common purpose”.
